Southland Building & Investment Society BRANCH MANAGER CHRISTCHURCH The Southland Building & Investment Society, New Zealand’s third largest building society, with assets in excess of $2OO million, is seeking a mature person to head its Christchurch branch office, which is to open shortly. The successful applicant will preferably possess experience at a senior level within a financial organisation, with some exposure to lending being highly desirable. Financial administrative ability is required with emphasis on the Society’s image, day-to-day branch operations and development, through good relations with the general public, professional and commercial groups. Ideally the appointee will have a proven record of academic achievement, be ‘service-minded’ and have a strong sales orientation. Self motivation is essential, and supervisory experience would be a bonus. An attractive remuneration package which includes concessional housing finance, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
