Fourth test drawn
NZPA-AFP Ahmedabad India and Pakistan drew their fourth test yesterday, the eleventh successive draw between the two neighbours. Pakistan were 135 for two when the fifth and final day’s play ended with no result remotely in sight after 10 mandatory overs. Younis Ahmed was 34 and Salim Malik 14 at close. Pakistan had taken a 72run first innings lead after dismissing India for 323. The tourists were overnight 25 for no loss. The first three tests in the present series were drawn. The fifth and final test is
scheduled at Bangalore, South India, from Friday. Yesterday’s draw was the twenty-ninth in 39 tests between India and Pakistan.
