Rangers A made sure of a place in the semi-finals of the Liquorland pre-season soccer tournament at Rangers Park yesterday by beating Burndale United, 2-0. The Rangers B team made it a day to remember for club fans at Rangers Park by nosing out Christchurch United, giving it the first loss
in three matches. Scores were:— Rangers A 2 (Greg Clarke, Mike Cowan), Burndale 0; Rangers B 1 (Bevan Chappel), Christchurch United 0. Players of Day.— Keith Francis (Rangers A), Tony Roberts (Rangers B), Paul Hodgson (Burndale), Paul Hillis (United).
