Everything That Flies (above), the Auckland group, are one of a number of bands that are combining. university orientation festival tours with playing to the public as well. The group will play at McKenzies Hotel tomorrow and Saturday evenings, before playing at the University of Canterbury’s students’ orientation festival on Tues-

day. This is the second time that the band has been in Christchurch, following up the success of their two singles, “Bleeding Hearts” and “As The Sun Goes Down." The band, consisting of Dianne Swann (vocals), Peter Harrison (keyboards), Wayne Bell (drums), Dave Manning (bass), and Gary Verberne, formerly of

Christchurch, on guitar, are considering heading for Australia.

Peking Man, another orientation tour band, play at MacKenzies’ Playroom this evening.

More orientation bands come through the Playroom next week, with the Back Door Blues Band on Thursday,; and Midge Marsden and , the Spaghettis on the following two nights.
