Derek Warwick No. 1 driver with Arrows-BMW

After two bad years in Formula One racing Derek Warwick will make a return as No. 1 driver in the Arrows-BMW team in the Brazilian Grand Prix at Rio de Janiero on April 12.

The team has yet to announce its second driver.

Warwick’s decision means that he will be unable to do a full season’s racing with the TWR Jaguar team, because of clashing commitments, and it seems most likely that he will confine his activities to Formula One this year. Former Formula One

pilot John Watson, who has been out of Grand Prix racing since he was sacked by the McLaren Fl team, has signed a contract to race the Group C Tom Walklnshaw Jaguars in this year’s Sports Prototype World Championship. He will be joined by Jan Lammers.
