APPLICATIONS are invited from companies interested in tendering for the contract to upgrade the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) Noise Range. The RNZN requires the existing experimental noise range situated on the east coast of Great Barrier Island, to be upgraded to permanent status. This range will be used for the measurement of underwater acoustic noise radiated from naval vessels and must have the capabilities of; [ a. detecting vessel and class defects , b. measuring vessel noise status to enable assessment of the; (1) liability to detection by surveillance devices such as passive loss frequency arrays; and (2) vulnerability to torpedoes and acoustic mines. MARKETING OF PERSONALISED NUMBER PLATES ’ INVITATION FOR PROPOSALS THE GOVERNMENT HAS AGREED to the introduction of personalised motor * vehicle number plates. The Ministry of Transport now invites proposals for the marketing of these personalised number plates. In addition to providing a formal registration of Interest, proposals should outline the desired financial arrangements between the marketing agency and the Government Specific offers along the following lines will be considered. N (1) An outright lump-sum payment for the right to sell plates and retain the proceeds; or 1 (2) A revenue-sharing arrangement under which the Government would K receive a percentage of the revenue derived by the marketing agent; or i (3) Some combination of (1) and (2) above.
