Art Mac Faber set to win again at Greymouth

Art Mac Faber won so stylishly on the first night of the Greymouth Club’s autumn meeting on Monday that he should go close to repeating in the Lion Brown Greymouth Cup at Victoria Park this evening. Art Mac Faber revelled in the slushy conditions on Monday and he is expected to be equally as good even if the track is firm tonight. His form has been rather mixed leading up to this meeting, but now that he is back to his best, he should carry on to much tighter company. There was merit in the second of Star King behind Art Mac Faber as he covered much extra ground. He is a smart pacer and should again be one of the leading contenders. Lordado, third on Monday, Ruling Skipper, Rich and Dark, Special Miss and Precipitate appeal most of the others.

Miss Falcon, Dynamic Beat and Polita should be leading chances in the second leg of the T.A.B. double, the Griffen and Smith Handicap, a race in which Skipper John, Watbro Crest and Golden Princess should also be prominent.
