A Welsh heavyweight, Alan Morgan, who weighs 25 stone (160 kg was saved from eviction from his home because he could not find a pair of trousers that would fit him.
Kind-hearted bailiffs agreed he could not be thrown trouserless into the streets of Merthyr Tydfil and granted him a reprieve until he found something to wear. Mr Morgan, aged 32, had not been out of the house he shared with his stepbrother since he
stopped work as a dairy labourer 15 years ago, when he weighed 10 stone (63kg). Since then he had grown out of all his clothes and remained indoors, where he walked about naked or with just a pullover on. Social workers toured local shops looking for a pair of 48 inch (122 cm waist trousers for Mr Morgan. Eventually, they found a 46 inch (117 cm pair and were able next day to evict Mr Morgan and his brother, who owed rent arrears of £5OO ($1400).
