Ejected truckdriver rammed bar

NZPA-AP Indianapolis A man thrown out of a bar on Saturday night after a fight with his girlfriend rammed his 10.8-tonne truck into the building killing one person and injuring 18 others, four critically,. Indianapolis police said.

The driver, Kenneth Metzler, aged 33, was arrested and held on a preliminary charge of murder, said Deputy Steve Thomas, of the Marion County Sheriffs Department. The truck crashed through the front of the Benchwarmer Pub and Eatery, said Deputy Thomas. “The guy drove the thing all the way through the place, from the front to the back wail.” Metzler apparently had been thrown out after a fight with his girlfriend, a waitress at the bar.
