Hot summer day
Yesterday’s temperature in Christchurch rose to 31deg., making it the second-hottest day this summer after January 15 when 32.2 deg. was recorded at Christchurch Airport The Meteorological Service in Christchurch reported that the temperature remained about 31deg. from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. yesterday. On February 3, the temperature
rose to 30.5 deg. the thirdhottest day and on December 20 it rose to 30.3 deg.
Today’s weather forecast is for north-west winds and high cloud so that the temperature is not expected to reach the 30s. A south-westerly change might occur later today or early tomorrow, according to. the Meteorological Service.
