Child’s name banned
By
ROBIN CHARTERIS
A French court has banned a couple from calling their daughter, aged five months, Prune. Judges in the provincial town of Dole told Mr and Mrs Pierre Borneck that their daughter would have a horrid life if she was forced to use the name.
The Bornecks argued fruitlessly that- the name appeared on a French revolutionary calendar, so that using it did not imply th,* little girl would grow upTinto a fruitcake.
