The Ashburton horseman, Pat O’Reilly jun. was fined $l5O for being found guilty of contributing to the breaking of his own drive, Pinnacle, 600 m from home in the Elders Pastoral Pace at Ashburton on Saturday. C. A. White was fined $lOO for an unauthorised change of gear, while the connections of Monte Leone, were advised this horse must trial to the satisfaction of a stipendiary steward before racing again. Monte Leone lost contact with the bunch and finished a distant last in the Grain and Seed Merchants Pace.
