Members of the Christchurch Police Band recording music that was a hit during the' police national centennial tour last year. The recording session at the Christchurch Town Hall on Saturday was under the baton of the conductor of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Mr Ron Goodwin. A tape of the recording was given to Mr Goodwin, and another is destined for the police archives. Front (from left) are cornet players Andrew McEntree and Graeme Jones. Centre, Frank Lundbeig (trumpet). Rear (from left), pipers Ross Hanning and his brother, Alistair, Bill Kempt, and drummer Hamish McCardle. The pipes and drums of the Wellington Police Band joined the Christchurch band for the occasion.
