This Department provides specialist legal services of estate, trust and financial planning and administration, to a wide clientele. It is a challenging and busy part of our practice which is entering a new phase of development. The positions are: SOLICITOR OR LEGAL EXECUTIVE We are seeking a solicitor or legal executive with one or two years experience which includes some will drating and estate administration, either in a trustee company or in legal practice. The appointee shold have a sound academic record and an interest in developing a career in equity practice. He or she will work with a team headed by a specialist partner and will be trained in estate and tax planning practice within the Department and with assistance from the firm’s tax partners. The work will involve estate and trust administration but will develop the applicant’s general skills in equity practice. We seek a lawyer or executive who will grow with this department. For a suitable lawyer joining the department that development could be to partner level. TRUST AND PORTFOLIO MANAGER The firm administers a large numbe of trusts and an. extensive trust share portfolio, including international investments. We seek a person to assist and eventually succeed our senior Trust and Portfolio Manager. The appointee need not be legally qualified, but a lawyer wishing to develop a career in this field would be particularly suitable. Alternatively, the appointee would possess accounting or management qualifications. A sound understanding of accounting principles is necessary and some background in or experience related to investment planning would be preferable. The appointee will assist in the preparation of all financial records relating to the trusts we administer and will develop a close professional relastionship with trustees (both in and outside the firm) and beneficiaries. He or she will participate In investment decison making and is intended in time to develop to the point of taking charge of this aspect of the department, reporting to its Supervising Partner.
