The Company manufactures and markets a range of high quality flexible packaging products and is recognised as a leader in its field. The corporation itself commenced trading on April 1, 1986, and is a combination of what was the AHI Flexible and Paper Products Group and Whitcoulls Packaging units. The successful applicant will be located at the Papakura, Auckland Plant and will be responsible to the Divisional Manager for administering the financial and accounting functions. This Includes annual accounts, budgeting, cost accounting, weekly and monthly reporting, preparation of capital expenditure applications, and for supervising accounts related administration staff. In addition, the incumbent will be part of the management team monitoring current performance and planning future strategies. Applicants should be either qualified with at least three years practical experience or part/non-qualified, but with a greater level of experience. People who have demonstrated the drive and ability necessary to make an effective contribution to the running of a manufacturing operation should apply. EAST CAPE CATCHMENT BOARD AND REGIONAL WATER BOARD CONTRACT ENGINEER (TEMPORARY POSITION) APPLICATIONS ARE CALLED for the position of Contract Engineer in the design section of the Board’s Office, located in Gisborne. The position is in the field of water and soil design and investigations; and particularly hydraulic investigations for the Waioeka-Otara Catchment Study. This is an Interesting project which would give the successful applicant useful experience in a wide range of engineering skills, including computing. This position is for a period of 12 months. (An extension of the contract, period is possible, but not likely.) This position would suit a young engineer with preferably 2 years post-graduate experience. Applicants should have some experience in river, drainage or water resources engineering and should preferably have catchment authority experience. Remuneration is in accordance with the Board scale within the range Grade 11, step 12 ($20,526) to Grade IV, step 21 ($30,563) per annum according to experience.
