Webb (Conflicts and Family Law) and Professor G. W. The Council seeks by these appointments to maintain a balance of academic leadership within the Law School. While it would welcome applications from candidates with appropriate qualifications in Sher fields of legal study, it would prefer to make appointments within the areas of: .... - ■ (a) Commercial law, regulation of business activity and banking, International business transcations and intellectual (b) Subjects' with a public and social policy or Interdisciplinary content; (c) Land, land use regulation, Equity and Taxation. In respect of at least one of these chairs, experience in empirical research would be An advantage. Applicants shbuld be of high academic standing with the qualifications and ability to provide leadership and will be expected to encourage and engage in research within the University tn addition- to teaching and examining in their particular fields. The appointees may be required, at a later date to act as Head of Department, and may be considered for Headship and Deanship of the Faculty at some future tittle. Commencing salary will be established within the range $62,000 to $77,500 having regard to the qualifications of the candidate concerned.
