Australian Navy head to visit
The Australian Chief of Naval Staff, Vice-Admiral Michael Hudson, will visit New Zealand next week. The visit, from February 22 to 27, will be taken up mainly with official talks with senior naval and Ministry of Defence staff.
He will also visit the Devonport naval base, the training establishment H.M.N.Z.S. Tamaki, and the Whangarei shipbuilding firm, Whangarei Engineering and Construction.
The latter has recently built several patrol craft and other small vessels for the Navy.
