Davison accepts
The Rlccarton jockey, Grant Davison, will be out of the country for 16 days next month. Davison, the South Island’s top rider, has accepted an invitation from the N.Z. Racing Conference to ride in four races at special meetings to be held in Singapore and Malaysia in conjunction with the biennial Asian Racing Conference. Davison, at present second to Lance O’Sullivan in the current season’s jockeys’ premiership, will be away from March 11 to March 28. During that period he will miss meetings at Hororata, Ashburton, Southland and Oamaru.
