A. first, 17.5 per cent for clients and new borrowers with deposit support, 18.5 per cent for non-clients; normally sufficient funds lent on first mortgage to eliminate need for second mortgage. B. first, 17.5 per cent with some at 18.5 per cent; second, 21 per cent. Westpac: first, 18.5 per cent; second, 21.5 per cent. National Bank: first, 17.5 per cent for clients with a good savings record, 18.75 per cent for new clients and clients with less savings history; some second mortgage lending.
