R’bow, Prog Ent say don’t sell
PA Wellington Rainbow Corp, Ltd, and Progressive Enterprises, Ltd, both put out “don’t sell” notices yesterday. In a joint statement directors of both companies told the Stock Exchange: “Speculation that Rainbow may attempt to take over Progressive Enterprises has recently appeared in media and
broker reports. “This speculation is not warranted. However, preliminary discussions are being held on a closer association. “Therefore directors recommend to shareholders in both companies not to sell shares pending a further announcement at the end of next week.” Rainbow holds 44 per cent of the shares in Progressive Enterprises.
