Cathedral organ recital
Barry Ferguson, the organist and master of the choristers at Rochester Cathedral, Kent, will give a recital in Christchurch Cathedral on February 10. Ferguson was head chorister at Exeter Cathedral, and gained a music scholarship to Clifton Col-
lege, Bristol. There he studied with Dr Douglas Fok,. and gained another scholarship to Peterhouse, Cambridge, graduating with an honours degree in music. He was appointed as assistant organist at Peter-
borough Cathedral, and in 1977 was appointed to his present position in Rochester. His recital programme will feature works by Gibbons, Bach, Greene, Mulet, and works he has composed himself. T
