Training firm
PA Wellington A need for staff training for the New Zealand business arena has led to the formation of Development and Motivation Systems, Ltd. The company has been formed with $202,000 paid up capital to offer its own local approach to staff training, a director, Mr Jeff Lowcay, says in a statement. Its first project has been to develop a series of video training films and manuals, "The Seven Keys to Responding to People,” with Billy T. James delivering the mes-
sage. Commercial Union Insurance is the 51 per cent shareholder in the new company. Mr Lowcay, who is also general manager of Commercial Union Insurance, says the firm was born out of his own organisation’s need for staff training methods to give it an edge over its competition. “Competition today is so intense that if you’re in the consumer products business you simply can’t ignore factors such as having good customer relations,” he says.
