Work contracts
Sir,—l work long and hard each week in order that I may have the choice of the style in which I choose to live. My taxes are phenomenal — enough to support a family with three children. This I do not agree with in itself as I choose to have no dependants. I cannot see why I should be forced to support those who do. However, all this dims into insignificance when compared with this latest fiasco with the gangs. My taxes are meant to go towards protecting my life and my property. They are not
for the payment of gang members whose intentions are totally contrary to what I believe is the direction society should be taking — that of individual responsibility, honesty and integrity. By using my tax money to pay out gang members I am indirectly paying for my possible potential destruction. This is an insanity which must stop now. — Yours, etc.,
