Man faces charge of incest
Trial by jury in the High Court will be faced by a man, aged 34, on a charge of committing incest on a girl on various dates between January; 1981, and June, last year. After a preliminary hearing in the District Court yesterday, Messrs A. L. Mclver and J. B. Andersen, Justices of the Peace, committed the defendant for trial in the High Court. They granted him bail pending his trial.
Interim orders were made suppressing the name of the defendant, and evidence in the case.
Mr D. C. Fitzgibbon appeared for the defendant.
Sergeant G. C. Jones prosecuted.
