Rates edge up
PA Wellington Money market rates edged slightly higher in quiet trading yesterday. The 90-day bank bill rates were at 23.35 per cent against 22.25 mid-session on Friday. Can rates were slightly jjbfter at 21 per cent Some deafers-said the rates have not moved far and may
edge downward in the medium term. Others said a continued move upwards was likely. The morning’s release of statistics showing a 0.4 per cent drop in food prices during December against a 0.3 per cent rise in November was seen as bullish, dealers said. ’ ' '
