(INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION NEW ZEALAND—PAPUA NEW GUINEA Two Senior Training Specialists (1) Staff Development (1) Instructional Technology Applications are invited for the above positions which will be funded under New Zealand's Programme of Official Development Assistance. The positions are for up to two years, located at Port Moresby. The successful applicants will be required to take up the appointment in early 1987. The appointees will join the Transitional Training Unit (TTU) in the Papua New Guinea Department of Personnel Management. The Papua New Guinea public sector is undergoing a period of major reorganisation and the TTU, which is composed of six expatriate training specialists and their counterparts has as its prime objective the identification of training requirements in both national and provincial departments and the provision of appropriate training and training programmes for departmental training officers. The New Zealand appointees will be expected to participate as part of the team in achieving these goals and are expected to provide specialist skills in staff development and instructional technology. Applicants must have experience in designing and conducting training programmes and a comprehensive background in either staff development or instructional technology. Terms and conditions of appointment are set by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and salary is based on existing salary paid. Airfares, transfer costs and allowances will be paid.
