BUSINESS EDITOR Our business editor is moving into other fields and we are seeking a replacement to guide this important department. Applications are invited from suitably qualified journalists. The successful appointee will be responsible for overseeing all our business and commercial news. Applicants should have a proven knowledge of all facets of the commercial community and company business, be able to generate news reports and analyse both private and public sector economic development, and will be expected to possess those personal attributes necessary to motivate a team of reporters. The business editor will be required to: 1. Report, interpret and analyse all aspects of the business and commercial world; 2. Oversee the preparation and presentation of the daily business news pages; 3. Liaise closely with the editor, chief reporter and news editor on all aspects of business news; 4. Work closely with a small team to further develop up-to-the-minute business reporting suitable to afternoon newspaper readers. Grading and remuneration, which will be attractive, will depend on ability. BUSINESS NEWS REPORTER This position would suit a reporter with knowledge of the business and commercial community or a young reporter keen to make a career in the fast-growing business journalism industry.
