NZPA-AAP Sydney Rupert Murdoch expressed confidence in the success of his bid for the Herald and Weekly Times shortly before flying to New Zealand on Tuesday, while media shares continue to soar on the stock market Mr Murdoch’s hopes for success in,his bid lifted on Tuesday as Queensland Press chairman, Mr Keith McDonald, continued to oppose Mr Holmes a Court and John Fairfax, Ltd. Mr McDonald said the News Corp bid was “very attractive.” Speaking to journalists in Melbourne before he flew to Wellington, Mr Murdoch said HWT shareholders would prefer his bid for the media group.
