Patchett prevails

PA Auckland Simon Patchett, of Kohimarama, revelled in the strong breezes when he won the invitation race and the first race in the Tauranga Cup P-class yachting series yesterday. With the wind at 15-20 knots, Patchett won the first invitation race yesterday morning and then edged out the Tanner Cup champion, Ramon Davies (Murrays Bay), in the first race in the afternoon. There will be three more days racing with two races each day.
