Trainers competition
Professional standardbred trainers will be given the chance to win a set of Zilco harness (valued at $600) resulting from a competition to be run by Wrightson Bloodstock, Ltd, and the N.Z. Hamess Horse Breeders Canterbury Division at the
National Select Yearling Sale Parade on March 9.
Trainers are invited to inspect the individual colts and fillies as they are paraded, then select the colt and filly they consider will be the first of each sex to win a
totalisator race (a set of harness being given to the winners of both categories).
In the event of a tie a draw will be made to determine the winner. The competition has been sponsored by Uniflex Packaging.
