Dunedin head named
PA Wellington Lorraine Isaacs, currently acting head of
Television New Zealand’s features department, has been appointed manager of TVNZ’s Dunedin operation.
Announcing the appointment yesterday the TVNZ Director-General, Mr Julian Mounter, said Miss Isaacs had close professional and family ties to the Otago-Southland region and an impressive background of experience as a producer and an administrator. Miss Isaacs joined
TVNZ Dunedin in 1971 as a researcher in the news department.
After working with the children’s programme, “Spot On,” she produced a range of programmes including “University Chal-
lenge,” “Playschool,” and “Beauty and The Beast,” and the Otago-Southland “Telethon.” Since 1982 she has worked as executive producer and deputy head of the TVNZ features department at Avalon. Miss Isaacs will take up her position early next year.
