Plans for $10M offices
Plans for a $lO million, six-storey office block in Chester Street West have been announced by the Amuri Corporation, Ltd. The building, proposed for the site next to Radio New Zealand’s Kent House, is one of two big developments announced by the corporation since it listed on the stock exchange last month. A $l5 million, 10-storey building in Wellington is the corporation’s other project The Chester Street building, which is 4180 sq m, has four floors of office space and two floors of car-parking. The concrete building, designed by Alan Reay Consultants, has an exterior of tinted, semireflective glass. A balcony is provided on each floor facing Hagley Park. As planning permission is still being sought, the corporation expects construction to start about June next year. Mr David Brown, managing director of the Amuri Corporation, said the two new developments were an exciting addition to the firm’s property portfolio.
