The appointee shall be responsible for normal ambulance and control room duties on a rostered shift basis over 24 hour days. It is essential that applicants possess the basic Ambulance Aid Certificate, be registered by the Department of Health as a Basic Grade Ambulance Officer, and have had a minimum of three years post-basic experience as an Ambulance Officer. It is preferable that applicants possess the Intermediate Ambulance Aid Certificate and be registered by the Department of Health as an Intermediate Grade Ambulance Officer.
