Executive Director New Zealand Bankers’ Association This high profile appointment is available with the Bankers' Association which is constituted by the four trading banks operating in New Zealand. The Association strives for the co-ordinated healthy development of the trading banks and their services within the community and the economy and for the promotion of an environment which assists Association members to achieve their corporate objectives. The Executive Director provides leadership for the activities of the Association, and is specifically concerned with the initiation and development of strategic plans and objectives in respect of matters of common interest to the trading banks. An important function is the maintenance of favourable relationship with Government, the general public and representatives of the member banks so that viewpoints and interests can be fully presented and considered. Three senior officers report to the Executive Director. The position calls for an experienced executive whose previous responsibilities have relevance to this appointment. A sound academic background (economics, commerce, business administration etc.) is necessary combined with leadership ability and the interpersonal skills to establish effective links within the organisation and with outside bodies. Some experience of media contact is desirable. A very attractive remuneration package accompanies this appointment.
