Caroline Foster, aged 16, will spend her Christmas holidays in France after gaining top marks in New Zealand in an Alliance Francaise examination. She was presented with her air tickets by Mr Mike Huis, district sales manager of UTA
Airlines. Most of Ms Foster’s stay will be in Paris, where she will board with a family and attend a French language course with students from throughout the world. She is looking forward to seeing all the sights so
far only read about, and also says it will be fun talking in French. Ms Foster has just completed her final year at Rangi Ruru Girls’ School, and plans to attend university next year, studying French and English, probably towards a law degree.
