Transplant patient for London

A Green Bay heart-lung transplant patient, Jacqui Culpin, will fly to London today for her life-saving operation. The Government gave her $40,000 towards the $lOO,OOO transplant, at London’s Harefield Hospital.
“It is absolutely wonderful. It’s the best Christmas present we could have, ” said her best friend and fund-raising organiser, Ms Eleanor Yardley. Mrs Culpin will arrive in London tomorrow with her three-year-old daughter and her mother to wait for a suitable heart and lung for the transplant. Mrs Culpin, aged 33,, has pulmonary hypertension. The only cure is the heart and lung transplant. She could be away from home for up to a year.
