Nairn out
One reinsman was suspended, three horses were stood down, and the connections of another were warned at the Canterbury Park meeting at Addington Raceway on Thursday night. Paul Nairn, driver of Stanboy in the Stewards Trot, was suspended until December 27 for allowing his horse to check Cheeky Rebel after 200 m. Nardin’s Lad, which caused a severe check to Satanic on the turn in the Wyatt and Wilson Pace, was stood down from racing until January 10. The same punishment was meted out to Bojodine, which fell on the home turn in the Shulz Knight Mobile, and Silverstream, which broke badly at the start of the Withers Mobile, badly checking Murray's Advice. Mighty Summit will have to trial to the satisfaction of the stewards before he is allowed to race again.
