Escaper still at large
Detectives believe that an inmate who escaped from Rolleston Prison a month ago is still in Christchurch.
The police say that lan Boyd, aged 34, is very dangerous and should not be approached.
A house in Christchurch was searched yesterday by the police, but no sign found of Boyd. Boyd is serving a fiveyear sentence after he was convicted of doing a dangerous act with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The charge related to an incident in which a home-made bomb was planted outside a house in Oamaru in 1985.
Boyd is described as European, 180 cm (sft Ilin) tall, with a swarthy complexion and dark eyes.
