Cruise ship may call regularly
The Greek cruise ship Royal Odyssey looks set to become a regular visitor to the Port of Lyttelton. Royal Odyssey's first visit here was on November 16 this year and the ship was in port again for about 12 hours yesterday. The next scheduled call at Lyttelton is on December 12 and then there will be two calls in January next year. Four visits for 1988 are also planned. The Norwegian cruise liner Royal Viking Star is also scheduled to call at Lyttelton five times in the first three months of next year. It would be about 10 years since this many cruise ships called in one summer season, said the traffic manager, Mr Dave Jones. ARRIVALS Spirit of Competition (7.00 a.m.) 1600, Wellington (Pacifica).
