Transport grant up
PA Wellington The Government had raised the transport grant to education boards from $5.90 a day a pupil to $7.08, said the Education Board’s Association president, Mr Dan Walker, yesterday. The Minister of Educa-
tion, Mr Marshall, announced the increase at the association’s quarterly meeting in Wellington.
Mr Walker said the extra money would ensure that rural transport services run by the board would not have to be axed.
