Supplies to Antarctica free of GST
PA Wellington The United States Naval Support Force, Antarctica, programme and New Zealand authorities will be able to send goods and services bought in New Zealand to Antarctica free of GST, says the Inland Revenue Department. However, the Inland Revenue Department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said anything the Naval Support Force, Antarctica, bought locally for consumption in New Zealand, such as groceries, would be subject to GST.
