Two riders suspended
PA Auckland Two riders were suspended at Ellerslie on Saturday up to and including next Thursday. After the Pupuke Highweight Julie Archer, on Supa Seal, was put out for causing interference to Alatunja, with resultant interference to William Hudson near the 1000 m. After an inquiry into the Super Liquorman Handicap, Sean Dowling, the rider of Sir Gareth, was suspended for impeding Bold Danielle in the run home. The judicial committee further decided that the placings of Sir Gareth, which finished fifth, and Bold Danielle, sixth, should be reversed.
