New club has big lead
The recently formed Papa-nui-Toc H club had a handsome lead in the senior men’s section at the end of the first day of competition in the A.N.Z. Bank Canterbury club track and field championships on Saturday. The club, the result of a merger between PapanulRedwood and Toe H, has 130.5 points, leaving it well ahead of the second-placed Technical, which has 85. Technical, however, has an even more comfortable lead in the senior women’s grade. Its tally of 124 points is 101 points greater than PapanuiToc H, which holds second place.
