Bourbon Boy resting
PA Wellington Matamata trainer, Howie Mathews, said that Bourbon Boy has returned home from his unsuccessful Sydney campaign and is currently resting at the Otorohanga property of his part-owner, Bert Fox. Although disappointed with Bourbon Boy’s performance, Mathews is
pleased to have him home none the worse for the trip.
“He was well looked after over there and has returned home in good condition,” Mathews said. Bourbon Boy will be rested for six to eight weeks before being brought back into work and aimed for another winter campaign.
