Our client, a major food processor, has substantial investments in modern manufacturing facilities on two sites, operates transport and trading subsidiaries, and employs more than 450 personnel. The company is entering a development phase involving new product, joint ventures, and increased trading activities to improve utilisation of its substantial assets. The position reports to the Board of Directors and requires an experienced commercially oriented executive with broad management skills to control and direct the company’s operations and to put in place plans and strategies for the development of new activities to maximise revenue, profit and return on investments. The position is supported by experienced, first line managers. REQUIREMENTS • A record of successful profit centre management experience. • An ability to make sound administrative and commercial judgements and to provide input to policy development. • Strong leadership qualities and inter-personal skills to motivate an enthusiastic, experienced management team. ' • Drive and initiative to seek out new business opportunities and to meet corporate objectives in a competitive industry environment. • Age range flexible, but preferably 40-50 group.
