Prisoners escape in car
Two prisoners escaped in a car from Paparua Prison yesterday morning. The men made off in a red Ford Telstar sedan, registration number M 81859 about 10 a.m. Gavin Bruce Johnson, aged 26, is described as 183 cm (6ft) tall, of slim build, with brown hair. He has tattoos on both arms. Alexander George Cooper, aged 24, is described as of slim build, with brown hair and green eyes. Neither is considered dangerous. The prison’s superintendent could not be reached last evening for comment.
