Sculpture talk
Dr Rudi Oxenaar, the director of the Netherlands’ Kroller-Muller Museum, will discuss sculpture in Christchurch next week.
Dr Oxenaar, as keeper of the world’s largest sculptural collection, is well qualified to discuss the art form.
On Tuesday he will speak at the Robert McDougall Art Gallery on contemporary sculpture and its relationship with and the
natural environment. On October 22 he will lecture at the School of Fine Arts on Dutch architecture. The McDougall lecture will begin at 7.30 p.m. As director of the Rijksmuseum KrollerMuller Dr Oxenaar is also responsible for a sculpture park.
