Search for successor
PA Wellington The search is underway for a successor to the Secretary for Internal Affairs, Mr Ted Babe, the "Evening Post” reports. Mr Babe was appointed to the post in February, 1982, and will retire on November 28. ~ He is a former directorgeneral of the Housing Corporation, having headed it from its inception in October, 1974. Before that, he was general manager of the State Advances Corporation. Mr Babe served aS Housing Corporation director-general until his appointment to the Internal Affairs Department. ■’ The post carries a salary of $87,500. ;
