Public Notices CANTERBURY UNITED COUNCIL LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1974 PURSUANT to a resolution of the Canterbury United Council at its meeting of August 27, 1986, notice is hereby given that commencing on March 1, 1987 the basis on which the net expenditure of the Council is apportioned to territorial authorities is modified as follows: Net Urban transport expenditure necessary to carry out the Council’s statutory functions under the urban Transport Act 1980 (other than payments required to support public bus and ferry services) shall be apportion among the constituent territorial authorities in direct proportion to each authority’s share of the resident population within the Canterbury Urban Transport Area in accordance with Census Information.
