Young Runaway for Kiteroa Stud

Special correspondent Auckland Kiteroa Stud has purchased a prominent English racehorse, Young Runaway, to stand at its Cambridge-based stud next season. Young Runaway, a four-year-old, will remain in training with Guy Harwood until being exported to New Zealand to commence stud duties. He is by Young Generation, a top performer, which won three group

two events and was group one placed three times. Young Generation (by Balidar) is making an impact as a sire, having left seven stakes winners from four crops to race. He was the joint top sire in Great Britain and Ireland last year on the number of winners. Young Runaway is from Mauritania (by The Brianstan), a half-sister to Belper (14 wins) and to the dam of Wolverton, which has made a fine start to his stallion career

at Trelawney Stud, Cambridge. Young Runaway was given a timeform rating of 119 as a two-year-old and also as a three-year-old. This year he has been restricted to group races and has been placed in a group two event at Sandown Park. Wrightson Bloodstock are handling the syndication of Young Runaway, which will stand alongside Imperial Seal and ,Le Monarc at Kiteroa Stud.
